Since March 2019 Felix Victor Münch is Postdoc Researcher at the kolleg Algorithmed Public Spheres at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI). Since October 2018, he had been fellow in this kolleg.
He did his PhD at the Digital Media Research Centre at Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia). For his PhD project (finished February 2019), he developed a methodological framework and explored methods to make network science more useful for large scale media and communication studies of a networked public sphere. With a B.Sc. in Physics (LMU, Munich, Germany), a M.A. in Journalism (LMU and German Journalist School, Munich, Germany) and work experience in online media brand communication as a UX designer and strategist, his main fields of interest are network science methods, big social data, online media, and public sphere theory.
During his stay at the postdoc kolleg "Algorithmed Public Spheres", he started a data mining project to explore sampling methods for networked social media data.
