Torben Klausa is a Research Fellow at the Institute in May 2022. The question "Does the state have a duty to regulate digital platforms?" is at the centre of his research.

In his doctoral thesis with the title "The Serving Freedom of Social Networks" at Bielefeld University, he examines the possible constitutional duty of the state to contain social networks in terms of media law.
