Katharina Mosene joined the Leibniz Institute for Media Research │ Hans-Bredow-Institut in July 2019. She is a political scientist (M.A.) and is responsible for the research and event cooperation at the HBI, especially in the context of the
Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society and the
Network of Centers.
Furthermore, she is associated with the TUM Medical Education Center of the TU Munich in the field of Digital Education / eLearning.
As a freelancer, she is involved with Deutschland sicher im Netz e.V. [Safe on the Net] under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of the Interior in the field of consumer protection and conducts workshops for volunteers and associations on Internet security topics.
In her spare time, she is a founding member of
netzforma* e.V. – Verein für feministische Netzpolitik [Association for Feminist Internet Politics]. There she deals with topics such as promoting equal access to the Internet and to digital content, protection against violence on the Internet and the right to privacy.
