KI und Desinformation im Journalismus

Prof. Dr. Wiebke Loosen and other experts will discuss working as a journalist in the age of artificial intelligence from 5.30 pm. The event is organized by the Vienna University of Applied Sciences for Management & Communication and the Austrian UNESCO Commission.
 
The discussion will focus on the following topics:
  • How are journalistic work and journalistic responsibility changing in the age of AI?
  • How can journalism meaningfully counter disinformation or misinformation and contribute to safeguarding democracy and human rights?
  • Where are the limits (of responsibility) of journalism in this context?
  • Are existing ethical standards and guidelines for dealing with AI in journalism sufficient?
  • Do we need new media ethics in view of developments in the field of AI?
