The
Hamburg section of the Research Institute Social Cohesion (RISC) at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) invites you to a think tank on the topic of public service media.
These workshops are small, closed discussion groups in which we try to engage in conversation with citizens in order to critically reflect on the mission and role of public service media. The participants' perspectives help us to concretise abstract concepts such as "social cohesion", "diversity" or even "representation". The insights gained will flow into the
research project on the integration task and function of public service media.
For this workshop we are looking forward to participants aged between 60 and 75. We offer an allowance for participation.
In a moderated discussion, we would like to exchange experiences with, expectations of and perspectives for public service media. To stimulate reflection, participants will fill out a short questionnaire on their own media use before the workshop. The results will be compiled and distributed to the participants as a dossier.
