Borrowing books

• Borrowing is possible with a Hamburg student ID or with a personal ID with a Hamburg address. Please bring your personal ID and your student ID when registrating for the first time.
• You may borrow up to 8 books.
• The general lending period is 2 weeks.
• Books with orange signatures are from the non-lending collection and may not be borrowed.

Extension of lending period

• The general lending period may be extended once by telephone at due date.
• An additional extension of the general lending period can only be made at the issue desk. Bring the books for scanning.

Reservations

• Reservations of borrowed books can be made by telephone or at the issue desk. No fee!
• From the date due (+/- a few days) the book will be reserved for a timeframe of 8 days. The current status of a book can be seen by checking "Verfügbarkeit" [availability] at the online search.
